Suggest Remedy For White Spots And Pain In Throat Upon Swallowing

My throat hurts and has white spots on it. It hurts to swallow and eat. I think I have strep throat. My daughter had it about a month ago and was treated for it with a 10 day medicine. I have amoxicillin that s 500mg and was wondering if I should take that and how much and how often.

As per your complain white pustules at the back of throat along with pain seems to be probably due to a severe case of bacterial throat infection known as Strep Throat..
White pustules are pus pockets that further confirms towards bacterial infection..
Although Amoxicillin is an antibiotic and can be taken for strep throat but should be taken out after a proper examination and confirmation of cause by a Physician..
For confirmation consult an Otolaryngologist or an ENT expert and get evaluated..
He can do investigations like Throat swab culture can help in diagnosis..

You can be advised:
-Antibiotics like Augmentin OR Azithromycin to resolve the infection..
-Anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen can be taken to relive pain. -----Doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in your room can be very much relieving.
-You can also suck throat lozenges to soothe the throat..
-Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
-Gargle with antiseptic solution like few drops of betadine in water..
-Chew Vitamin C pellets to boost up the immunity..
-Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
