Respected doctor, My niece, aged 4months, is arriving from the us on March 1 to India. The problem I am facing is that she is not going back to the us anymore and so I have a problem with her immunization schedule. Her schedule in the us is
Birth----hep b 2 months----hep b,dtap,hib,ipv,pcv7 and rv 4months-----hep b,dtap,hib,ipv,pcv7 and rv 6 months----hep b,dtap,hib,pcv7,pv and influenza 6 to 18 months---hep b and ipv 12 to 15 months---hib,mmr,pcv7 12 to 18 months---var 15 to 18 months---dtap 12 months to 18 years---hep a 4 to 6 years---dtap,ipv,mmr (hep b and var if already not given)11 to 18 years---tdap/td (if 5 years since last dtap or dt) mmr (if not given already)hep b (if not given already) var (if child not vaccinated or has not had chicken pox)11 to 18 years---mcv hpv hepatitis a vaccine (2 doses 6 months apart) is recommended in Arizona children 1-5 years of age hepatitis b vaccine-total three doses needed. may be given in different schedules influenza--administer annually to children between 6months to 5years the problem as u see is that there are many vaccines not included in the Indian immunization schedule and I am in a dilemma whether to follow the above schedule or not...of special mention is the fact that there is no bcg or opv...please help me doctor and draw out an immunization schedule for my niece. she is 4 months of age and has taken her fourth month vaccines. my email id is YYYY@YYYY . thanking you for the incredible and noble service u have undertaken.. yours sincerely Rajesh menon.
