Suggest Tests To Check PSA Levels

I am 74 and my last 3 blood test readings for psa were 4,5 7. I have none of the signs of prostate problems. The blood test included many routine tests for other possible problems or level, unrelated to PSA. Is there a more specific blood test just for checking my PSA.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
PSA testing based on enhanced chemiluminescence is very accurate.
It should be done in the fasting state and 7 days after abstinence from the sexual activity.
Result between 4-10 ng/ml may be a prostate enlargement or cancer.
I would suggest to go for free PSA test, free PSA%, rectal examination and USG scan for further diagnosis of prostate problem.
Hope this may help you
