Hello,
Lisonipril is an antihypertensive drug belonging to angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors.
This, like the other ACEIs, is the antihypertensive of choice in patients who have suffered heart attacks, due to the fact that it has the property of improving the cardiac remodeling that occurs after the
infarction.
So answering your question, rather than improving the fraction of ejection, what will do is improve the remodelling process, and this, obviously over time results in a fraction of ejection not deteriorated.
Regarding the Indian Herb Arjuana it would be better if you asked your treating doctor directly.
I could recommend it to you, because if you are right, there are studies that speak in favor of improving the functioning and cardiac contractility, but the ideal person to recommend it is your treating doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Luis Alberto Urdaneta Arenas, General & Family Physician
