My question would require a retina specialist. I have hypertension for the past 12 years. It is under control with medication. My problem is i have suffered 2 BRVOs in my right eye due to which i hv floaters in the eye which obstruct vision. After the first BRVO i had laser treatment done and also took 2 injections in the eye . I was told that the laser treatment and injections r some kind of preventive measure only against further deterioration. They r neither a guarantee against it happening again, nor a cure for what has occurred. I have been advised to go thru the same treatment again after the second BRVO also. I would like to know 1. If the floaters in my eye can be removed/minimised in any way. 2) The laser is more painful, than it seems worth. Should i go thru it all over again. It seems pointless to me. In-fact there is a doubt if in-fact the second BRVO could have been caused by vessels weakened by the first laser treatment. Pls advise.
if it is branch vein oclusion, then anticogulant is tobe given. no one can give any gauranty against recurence. this is due to clott formatin some how reach to block retinal vein. consult retina surgeon for any preventive treatment he can give.
