Suggest Treatment For Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
i have GERD SINCE childhood i am 34 yeras old female ,have difficulty swallowing and reflux that comes back very 4-5 months. I am on Nexium since 5 years. Since 5 years my oesophagus feels eroded and hot and cold liquid irritate it ,have gotten a Barium UGI done . what can it be
You may be suffering from chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with peptic ulcer disease which may lead Barrett's esophagus or development of esophagus malignancy. So barium swallow used to rule out esophageal pathology of mechanical or motility disorders. Please post the report depending on the resulting treatment may vary. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid NSAIDS. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
