Suggest Treatment For Lyme Disease With Enlarged Heart
Just found out I have an enlarged heart. Not sure yet to what degree. I have irregular heart beats throughout the day but no pain. I also have Lyme disease which can attack the heart among other things. No way of knowing if this is related or not but it's possible. My blood pressure is normal, 116/60 two days ago at the doctor's office. Wondering if there's any natural remedy or therapy for treating this? I'm 58 years old and other than having Lyme disease I'm in fairly good shape. Although I'm 20 pounds overweight. I'm concerned that this disease I have might be damaging my heart. Any thoughts about this and natural remedies or therapies to treat it?Thanks,Gary
Hi welcome to HCM.
There are no natural therapies to treat the damaged heart caused by Lyme s disease. This infection is particularly known to cause heart conduction blocks that require treatment in the form of drugs or implantable cardiac defibrillators.I advice you to have a baseline EKG and an electrophysiological study of the heart.Drugs like ACE inhibitors can reduce the enlarged heart to great extent.Consult your doctor for further queries.
Thank you
