hi doc,im suffering frm bad cough since one month.i had fever and sore throat ath the same time.i took 3 times antibiotics for cough and sore throat,still its not going.daily i wud take 3 times steam.what to do nw?im quite diassapointed.shud i take medicines again?
Noted your short history about chronic cough for one month, antibiotics three times, had fever. Long duration of coughing indicates the need as follows: First of all consult a Doctor for proper actual examination of chest and ENT part to know the probable cause. X-ray chest and confirmation by CT scan if required. Relevant tests of blood. Possibility of asthma hence PFT that is pulmonary function tests. All these will give proper diagnosis allowing a specific treatment. There may be need of bronchodilators and not of antibiotics.
