Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Dr., My father aged 71 yrs has undergone an ECG and the findings are as under: 1. Sinus rhythm with marked sinus arrhythmia 2. T wave abnormality, consider lateral ischemia 3. Prolonged QT The measurements are as follows: QRS:96ms QT/QTcB:452/462ms PR:166ms P:128ms RR/PP:1088/880ms P/QRS/T:56/26/100degrees. Pls advice
A doctor can't say much without seeing the ECG. These changes in T wave might be just from chronic hypertension, or maybe a serious problem like coronary artery disease. I suggest that if your father has any chest pain or difficulty in breathing or other cardiac symptoms to go to a cardiologist. He can see himself the ECG and can make echocardiography to see more things and to give you specific advice.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regard, Dr. Anila Skenderi
