Suggest Treatment For TB
Hi My son almost 4 yrs old has been tb in his knee...confirmed by a biaposy. I want to know what would be the treatment process now how long will it take to cure and can it be treated. we are currently living in Canada and he is being treated at sick kids.

Bone Tuberculosis can be treated completely.
Antitubercular drug ( 4 drug regime- rifampicin, isoniazide. pyrizinamide. ethambutol ) to be started.
Important is the duration of the treatment for the bone TB atleast 18 months duration to be completed.
Please consult pediatrician for supervised management.
