Suggest Treatment For UTI During Pregnancy
I am 24 weeks of pregnancy. I have had urine RE. Puss cells (25-30) were present. Bacteria were also present. My doc advised me to take 20 ceftuns (2 each day) for 10 days and then get a urine RE again. After I got the test done I found out Puss cells (25-35) present and bacteria present (few). Is this affecting my baby? Will urine culture and sensitivity help in this stage to sort out the problem?

UTI in pregnancy especially in the second and third trimesters are common.UTIs if not well treated may be harmful to the fetus.Persistence of puss cells and bacteria will mean further investigations.A urine culture and sensitivity test will be welcome here.Lets not take chances. I will advise you take enough water as well.
