Suggest Treatment For UTI

Hi, I am 53 years old, female, white , 5 4,102 lbs, fairly good health. About a year ago..., I started having blood when voiding. At times with large clots, bright in color. This has continued for , as I said, about a year. I went to the ER and had test done,...blood work and urinalysis. I had a SLIGHT UTI and was given antibiotics a10 day regime. Thanks Lawanda

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query .
Persistent Hematuria since one year needs to be investigated thoroughly to trace out the source of blood.

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Endoscopic Examination of bladder (Cystoscopy)
4) C.T Scan of Kidney ureter and Bladder .
5) Blood test for coagulation profile .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
