I am a 29 yr old female.I have undergone a TVS recently and it was mentioned in it that on the surface of R0 there is anechoic thin walled 2.5 cms cyst .What does this mean.I am already diagonosed with pcos before and now i have gone for regular check up and after tvs ,report mentioned the above. Is it something to be worried of ...is it a paraovarian cyst or hydrosalpinx..i am worried if this might make me infertile.I am taking obimet sr 500 mg thrice a day for pcos until now.
Hi I have gone through your report.dont worry it wont take you to infertile.we call cyst ,when size is > or equal to 3cm.2.5 cm cyst in right ovary is follicular cyst.it is normal follicle that is growing.usually it ruptures and releases ovum.if you have doubts or to confirm this, review the scan after your periods.usually it will disappear.if you are planning for pregnancy, go for follicular study and plan accordingly. thank you regards vasundhara
