Suggest Treatment For A Mucocele-like Spot On The Lower Lip

Hi I have almost 100 percent sure a mucocele on my lower lip started out like a clear little bubble then I tried to pop it it popped bled then got smaller for a little bit then came back did the bubble thing again then turned harder and a whitish color and is slightly larger in size now it s just annoying I ve had it for 3 weeks and it s not going away do I need to have it surgically removed by a dentist or doctor? Do they need to biopsy it or if it s smaller is it less concerning? And if they go away on their own how long does it usually take should I give it time to see if it heals itself or go to the doctor ? I see the doctor august 3rd so I was just going to wait till then if their not a big deal ...

Hello,

In case the mucocele is not getting absorbed spontaneously, you may need to get an excision of the mucocele.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
