Suggest Treatment For A Tear In Tonsils

A part of my tonsil has ripped. I have had problems with tonsil stones and clear them out often. But I coughed today and tore a piece of i, it now like a little flap on my tonsil.... Do I need to go get the rest of it taken off? Not painful, just irritating or tickiling my throat when it hangs...and I have to push it back up. What do I do?

Hello,

I would advise you to go to the hospital and have it taken off. This would also allow you to get antibiotics to prevent infection of the neck where the tonsil tore.
