General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
The pain in abdomen you have might be due to media Ines given after abortion to cause uterine contractions in order to drain remnants of blood retained. Please continue with the medications. Sleep on abdomen so as to ake the pain bearable. It should stop within 2-3 days of the procedure. In case the pain does not subside or there is excessive bleeding consult your operating gynecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
