Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain, Nausea And Vomiting

I had a bowel perforation repair with colostomy in 2014, then a reversal, then several surgeries following in that year and into 2015 for seroma, infection, and then ventral hernia repair in 2016. I have had a constant neurologic pain since, using nuerontin for that, and have had increased symptoms of abdominal pain nausea and vomiting. Also, when I attempt to sit up, there is now an obvious bulge where the hernia was repaired. My doctor said the site is still soft, so no worries. I am worried, and concerned with these symptoms, and they are getting worse. What should I do now?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

You symptoms suggest that there is a hernia at place of previous colostomy and this is common issue This may also lead to pain and nausea. I suggest to do colonoscopy and abdomial ultrasound to rule this out.

In some cases it must be surgically re-applied. Also, you may have symptoms of adhesion or IBS. His is usual after such surgeries and you should regulate it with easier diet and laxative.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
