Suggest Treatment For Abscessed Teeth And Infection

Hi- My husband is being treated with antibiotics for an abscessed tooth and infection that spread to his jaw. The whole side of his face was very swollen. After 24 hours of antibiotics the swelling went down and now he has a flabby area under his chin, above his adam's apple, that looks like a sack that just flops around. Any idea what caused this?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The swelling below the chin could be a cellulitis, that is spread of infection through tissue spaces. You can continue the course of antibiotics. after completing the course of antibiotics treat the cause of infection, that is treat the infected tooth with root canal treatment or by extracting the tooth.
The swelling will subside in 3-4 days. Do not apply pressure over the swelling by touching it or covering that area with hand or cloth. do not give hot fomentation over the swelling.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
