Hello dear Understand your concern I generally prescribed following advice to treat the acid reflux. Acid re flux are common in pregnancy as loose the diaphragmatic sphincter of stomach and relaxation of smooth muscle of gastrointestinal tract Continue gaviscon syrup: take 2-3 teaspoonful per day before meal and at bed time to prevent reflux. It act faster than tablet. If symptoms are sever you can take ranitidine after food or pantoprazole before food along with syrup. Take small frequent meal rather than large meal, avoid spicy and oily food, avoid to take liquid just after food, avoid liquid diet before 3 hour the sleep except water, do not lying down just after taking food, avoid forward bending to prevent re flux, Sleep in head rise position. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
