Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello, I need help. I have been dealing with a condition for over 8 years and it seems worse. I have been diagnosed with acid reflux and I take protonix and reglan. I am unable to swallow adequately unless I take the reglan. The protonix does help with my acid. I have a constant urge to burp, but I can not ever fully satisfy the burp. I have a constant dull ache, like pressure in mid to right chest area right above my stomach. The ache can been felt in my mid back, almost like a bubble in my mid to right chest. My voice gets hoarse very easily. When I eat I can feel the food go down slowly in my esophagus and stick and stay toward my stomach. this causes me to get light headed. When I was young and I would eat, the food would sometimes get stuck in the middle of my chest which would cause me to pause for a moment, then it would go down. I do not smoke or drink. The pressure seems the most when I have to have a bowel movement. Please help
