Suggest Treatment For Acute Injury Eyebrow & Eye

Hi there,

I was hit on the area between the eyebrow and the eye during basketball from the back of another player's head.

A lot of swelling 10 days later, CT scan showed no acute injury and no fractures.

No cuts. Is this injury likely to leave any permanent effects

Thank you,
Stelios

Hello
It seems from the history that you had a injury to face between eyebrow and eye while playing basket ball and you are having swelling of the eye.
Since CT scan is normal without any fracture or eye injury no need to worry.
The swelling is because of hematoma as a result of collection of blood in the layers of skin. This will decrease as the blood gets absorbed slowly over a period of 3-4 weeks.
No need to worry this will decrease and it is not permanent.
Applying cold compression provides symptomatic relief.

Thank you
