Allergist and Immunologist 's  Response
Hello,

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:

1. I would agree with your current medications - Monteluakst-Fexofenadine (Telekast-F), Momeflo (Mometasone nasal spray) and Combihale (I would like to know strength of medications within).

2. First of all, I would suggest you to make sure that your technique of using the inhaler is perfect. If it is not perfect, there are chances that adequate amount of drug might not be reaching lungs.

3. If despite correcting your technique, you are not experiencing relief, I would like to increase dose of Combihale (at present I don't know what dose you are taking)

4. I would also suggest you allergy testing as it will help you identify the substances causing symptoms to you as well as the measures to avoid them.

5. Based on allergy testing, an Allergist-Immunologist may prescribe you allergen specific immunotherapy which works like a vaccine to improve your allergy symptoms.

6. I would also suggest you a healthy diet and regular breathing exercises to improve your immunity and lung capacity in a long run.

7. As you have specifically asked about diet, I would suggest you as follows:

a. Please avoid the foods you are allergic to.

b. I would suggest you to avoid too much eating. Please do not eat up to full stomach.

c. In general, I would suggest you to avoid too cold foods such as cold drinks, ice creams, etc. Please do not have habit of drinking cold drinking water.

d. Please have a diet rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants (plenty of green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, sprouts, etc) and have plenty of warm fluids during day to maintain hydration.

Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.

Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.

Wish you the best of the health ahead.

Thank you & Regards.
