Hello,
Thank you for your query
Yes that is possible but it is usually after taking birth control pills over a periods of time.
*What medications are you taking now.?
*what tests do you doctor do to tell you that you will never get pregnant?
Supression of ovulation and hence periods can occur for upto 6 months after birth control pills.
If it doesn't resume the treatment is to stimulate the ovaries by medications. Commonly used is
clomiphene citrate. The duration is variable but is frequently given for 3 months.
This stimulates the ovaries to produce eggs which will regulate ovulation and periods
The usual medications (estrogen or
progesterone preparation) given for stimulation of periods are not the same and may make matters worse. So please ensure you taking the right medications.
Get a
second opinion if doubtful.
I recommend :
-an ultrasound to check for follicle growth
-blood tests (
complete blood count,
anti mullerian hormone,
follicle stimulating hormone, Leutinizing hormone, estrogen levels, androgen levels, prolactin levels and
thyroid stimulating hormone)
-based on this we can arrive at the diagnosis.
Please seek help right away or a second opinion. Insist on tests and an explanation.
Hope this helps. Pls let me know if there is anything else I can help you with
