Suggest Treatment For An Ear Infection In A Child

Hi, My 2 year old had an ear infection 2 weeks ago but even after all the high dose antibiotics he is still saying his head hurts. After day 6 on the antibiotics the Dr. said it was just about cleared up. It has been 2 days after his last dose and he doesn t get any relief with out tylenol.

Hello,

It may be due to acute suppurative otitis media.

For that, he may require antibiotics ear drops after ENT consultation.

Continue nebulization.

For pain and fever, you can give syp acetaminophen.

Avoid ear piercing. Maintain proper hygiene.
