Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. around 3 hours ago i was running down the stairs with a classmate of mine and i jumped and skipped a few steps. I think i landed on my foot side ways or something like that. my ankle hurt right away. i but ice on it within 10 minutes of it happening. i also havent put any pressure on it and i still have a constant pain. i was wondering if i need to go have it looked at.
u might have ankle injury while jump. it may be strain, sprain or bone fracture after landing in some awkward position.
please apply elastic bandage and take rest. don't put pressure on leg. continue ice massage and elevate yr leg so pain and swelling will gradually decrease. use paracetamol to reduce pain. if pain persist and difficulty in walking and still swelling, consult yr orthopedic dr and get the x ray done to rule out the cause of injury.
hope this will be helpful to u. take care
