Suggest Treatment For Anxiety Attacks And Constant Pressure Between The Shoulder Blades

I have been taking anti anxiety meds for at lest 12 years now. I am near 50 yrs old, female. Under a great deal of stress lately (but have honestly been through worse) the issue is a constant pressure between my shoulder blades and the feeling of heavy chest and when taking a breath it feels incomplete like I need to force myself to breath deeper. These symptoms have been consistent for the last 4 days but I have been experiencing more anxiety attacks like a 7 or 8 on the scale of severity. was usually 3-4 if I ever had them. They sometimes wake me up as well. Anything I should worry about? (no pun intended)

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to severe anxiety otherwise known as panic attack. Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety.

Relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation can help a bit. If symptoms persists better to consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated. In severe cases drugs like clonazepam may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
