Suggest Treatment For Arcus Senilis And High Cholesterol Levels

Hi doc, i noticed my arcus senilis since i was 19 and it was increasing since then. I am now 44 and people always ask me if i am wearing contact lens or if i have high cholesterol. How can i get rid of this? Although all the books i read says there is no cure for this, i still want to know if there is any update on the treatment of arcus senilis. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my surgical experience, the congenital defects of cholesterol metabolism, LDL receptors, apolipoproteins or liver disorders are responsible for such issue.

* As rightly understood there is no cure of the same, but different management options are available for different conditions and I would like to assist further after the details of available reports ahead in follow up chat.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
