Suggest Treatment For Arthritis And Numbness In The Leg

My boyfriend has arthritis. He s been lifting weights for 40 years and is in great shape, however, lately if he goes in a restaurant & it s cold, his legs freeze & feel numb. He s been going to a chiropractic because of the numbness issues, but that doesn t seem to be working. He had an epidural, but that didn t work. He s at wits end that no one can help him. Any suggestions of what king of specialist he should go to? I hope to hear from you. Thank you, Roseann

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case and I can assure you that arthritis will never cause numbness or tingling. It is suggestive of vitamin B 12 deficiency or nerve compression in the spine. I would recommend you to get his serum B12 estimation and also MRI of the spine to see if there is any vitamin deficiency or nerve problem. He should take Gabapentin tablet one daily and tablet Methylcobal one daily.
