Suggest Treatment For Neck Arthritis And Burning Sensation
I am currently being treated for Rheumatoid Arthritis, I know there was some amount of arthritis in my neck but suddenly there is a numb area beneath the left shoulder to the center. The numbness has lasted about a month and now I also experience a burning sensation. Can that be a part of the RA?
Yes, it could definitely be related to the arthritis in the neck because changes occur in the bones with arthritis.
These changes can cause compression to the nerves in the area. This can result in abnormal sensations such as numbness and burning. This abnormal functioning of the nerves is called neuropathy.
There are medications that can help with neuropathy such as amitriptyline, tegretol, lyrica, gabapentin
I hope this helps
