Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a colon cancer survivor, almost two years to thre day i was diagnosed..i have been cancer free for about 6 months, recently i was having back pain, and had an mri found bulging disc and also found a tumor on the spine, dr wanted to wait 6 weeks and do a second mri but ive started having pain across back below shoulder blades
Hello and welcome to HCM, Tumor detected on the spine along with bulging disc suggests metastasis from colon cancer involving the spine. Metastatic lesions are managed by chemo and radiotherapy. Pain across back and below shoulder blades can be due to metastatic deposits in the shoulder blades or the upper back vertebrae.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
