I read very carefully your concern. I can understand that you have been under treatment for tubercular pleural fluid. This diagnosis is mostly encountered in young persons. But i have not clear the fact of how was the diagnosis made? Only a PPD test positive is not enough to start the treatment for tb.The most important is theexamination of the fluid and its culture for tb bacilus that if it comes positives we can start the treatment. If it is tubercular fluid the treatment last minimally for 6 months not so short as you have done. So my opinion is to see a tb specialist and he should reevaluate your situation. Thank you Dr.Jolanda Pulmonologist
