Hello
Welcome here.
Back pain is common during pregnancy. As your sister is 8months pregnant, oral medicines are not advisable. Pain-killer gels like volini can be used for local application on her back. Also hot-water foementation can help. If this does not controls pain, paracetamol can be taken but inly under her gynecologist's supervision.
For thyroid, she must continue with eltroxin(if she is hypothyroid) as advised by the doctor, depending on the blood thyroid levels.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
