Suggest Treatment For Back Pain Caused By Arthritis

I have a lot of hip pain and know that I have arthritis in my lower back which causes me to sometime be unable to use my legs properly. I suspect the hip is part of that at my age which is 75. I just wander if I can ignore it or if I should have surgery? How will it effect me if I choose to ignore it. I now try to rest between task.

At your age your age and the symptoms mentioned you could possibly be having secondary osteoarthritis of one or both hip joints or a prolapsed inter vertebral disc if your pain radiates below the knee.Should reach a diagnosis before thinking about treatment options . First thing to do would be to get a radio graph of your pelvis with both hip joints and lumbosacral spine AP and Lateral views. In the mean time you could take some OTC medications for your pain.
