Hello! My son is 7years old. Been accelerated twice in school, landing in grade2 now at his age. He had bacterial meningitis when he was 3months old. Post CT scan after meningitis have showed miild frontal lobe atrophy. He had been ok and normal all those years until lately, a month ago he keeps on complaining about frontotemporal headache that comes and go. We had another CT scan just a few weeks ago and the result is the same as when he just recovered from meningitis, with mild frontal lobe atrophy. Does my son need medication? Is there any treatment for this?

Suggest Treatment For Bacterial Meningitis
Hello, No definite treatment is required. If he develops seizures consult a neurologist and plan for an EEG. If the pain is severe, you can try analgesics like ibuprofen for pain relief. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
