Suggest Treatment For Barrets Esophagus

hi doc! i have barrets esophagus. I was given dexilant 60mg 1x/day, bearse 3x/day, mucosta 100mg 3x/day all for 30 days before a follow up check up and another endoscopy to see if there is any improvement. are these drugs friendly to my kidneys , heart , liver and lungs? just being cautious because both my parent s died of chronic kidney failure , dementia and heart problems. we do have a history of diabetes on both sides. I am within normal range now but I just wanted to check because my doctor has not responded and I failed to ask him prior.

Dexilant belongs to the drug category of Proton pump inhibitor and it is quite safer drug and the main medication for your condition.
This can be added with the drug Domperidone which increases LES tone and GI motility and decreases chances of GERD.
Regarding Mucosta and Bearse, these are amino acid and enzyme supplements believed to decrease mucosal damage of esophagus and improves the digestion but currently there are insufficient data regarding its safety and efficacy, so hard to tell.
There are some surgical options for your condition if it is severe or not improving.
Apart from it you should follow some non pharmacologic measure like:-
Avoidance of: oily spicy and junk foods, caffeine, fried food, citrus fruits, alcohol, smoking, over-eating etc.
Recumbent only 1-2 hours after taking the food.
Morning walk and regular light exercises.
