Suggest Treatment For Bartholin Cyst

Hi i had marzipulation of bartholin cyst this summer 14. Just started feeling the opposite gland filling up. I have found a few metronidazole antibiotics at home. Before i manage to get to the doctor in the morning can i start with med? I understand i have to see a dr but i have been having these abcesses last 20 years on/off

Hello and welcome to HCM,
You can start with the anti-microbial right away.
The anti-microbial will contain the infection for an extent.
However, clinical assessment is mandatory because the contralateral sided Bartholins gland may also have to be marsupulized.
Maintaining good hygiene of the pubic area will help to control the recurrent infections.
