Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son Derek is a patient with a dermotologist. They want to schedule him for surgery on two spots on his face where they microcut away and then check to see if more needs to be removed. He has basil cell. What id like to know is the laser technique used for this and is it better and faster recovery time.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of basal cell spots on face which is a very slow growing tumor. It is usually harmless unless some exaggeration occurs due to stimulating factor. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit dermatologist once and get it examined. You can go for chemo therapeutic ointment which can be applied locally which improves your skin texture. Surgical excision is the best possible treatment. You can go for plastic reconstruction after surgical excision and there will be no scars and all you need to maintain is hygiene. Avoid going outside in sunlight. You should cover your skin with damp cloth while going outside.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
