Is there anything that might help to get ridd of the hiccups and belching?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Since you son has many serious problems like diabetes, blindness, congestive heart failure, less intake and weight loss is obviously due to all these. Since there is increase in urea and creatinine levels due to kidney disease, the commonest cause of hiccough is this and proper dialysis controlling the kidney functions can help a lot in solving the hiccough problems. Also needed is to see for any changes in the neck or the chest for compression of the nerve to diaphragm that is Phrenic nerve and to see for any pathology under the diaphragms like liver abscess, collections and so on. Once the cause is found an appropriate treatment can help to solve his problems. Continue management for all the medical problems you have mentioned.
