Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my daughter of24age 50kg weight 4ft7inches height suffering from schizophrenia bi polar dis orded as the psychitric doctor says and she has been taking sizodonene peridone relaxy as the medicine but
still so many social activity is not as the normal person has is it not curable or curable
I understand that you are worried and concerned about your daughter's mental illness. Now, you have mentioned that your daughter has been diagnosed to have Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder. But these are two entirely different disorders and cannot be diagnosed together. If your daughter is having symptoms of both Schizophrenia as well as Bipolar disorder, then the diagnosis would be a Schizoaffective disorder.
However, both disorders that you have mentioned, namely Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder, are chronic illnesses and can only be controlled, but not cured. If your daughter is having some residual symptoms, such as poor social activity, you can talk to your doctor about adjusting her medication or starting her on some social rehabilitation programme.
