Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i was trying to syphon some degreaser and some of it was on the end of the hose and when i pressed it to my lips it made strong contact with the inside of my lips and burned them and put a couple of blisters, it is hurting, i cant drink or eat anything without causing extreme pain, how can i treat this?
You have blisters on lips which seems to be due to the chemical reaction of ingredients leading to a chemical burn. Need not to worry. I would suggest you avoid hot, sharp and spicy food. Drink plenty of water. Suck on ice pops. Drinking plenty of water and cold liquids. Don't let that area dry and keep applying aloe vera gel or petroleum jelly on a frequent basis as dry skin. Maintain oral hygiene. Consult a dermatologist if symptoms keep on persisting and get the treatment done. Maintain good oral hygiene.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
