General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your boyfriend's problem can be most likely mixed bacterial and fungal infection. Using ointments containing antifungal agents like Miconazole, anti-bacterial agents like gentamicin and corticosteroids like betamethasone for local application will be helpful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nishad B. N., General & Family Physician
