Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a medium sized blood blister on the back of my leg right below the right buttock on the uppermost part of m thigh.....I had one in the same area a couple weeks ago but I drained it like 3 days in a row and it went away . but now I have another one in about the same area..much smaller but the pressure is painful . my boyfriend says all you need are hot and cold compresses....but I want to drain it...any suggestions?
It seems like it is infected and it doesn't go away with hot and cold compresses. I think it needs antibiotics. Take an antibiotic ointment to put over it. It can get better in five weeks.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
