My boyfriend is 64 years old. Today he started having blood in his urine and some small clots. Not every time though. He started drinking a lot of water and legs are weak I ve tried getting him to go to the er. He wants to wait until Monday to call his dr. Do you think he should wait
Here your he should not weight for blood in urine... It might be acute urinary tract infection....
Urine routine microscopic examination has to be done first for pus cells.....
If pus cells present than acute urinary tract infection present for which antibiotic full course given with urinary alkalinizer like pottasium citrate....
If needed urine culture also done...
USG will be helpful for rule out kidney, bladder affection.....
Avoid excess spicy foods
Advise : Consult physician for examination and further work up according to report..
