Suggest Treatment For Blotchy Rashes On Arms And Thigh With Body Ache
My 19 yr old daughter is in Guatemala City, working as a missionary teaching intern. She texted me today to tell me she has a raised blotchy rash, (was all over, now mainly arms and thighs)and body aches. Her roommate got the Same thing Saturday and was mostly cleared up by Tuesday. My daughter started feeling achy Monday and woke up Tuesday covered in the rash. It does not itch. she has been there for a month and a half and hasn t had any problems till now. They recently went to the zoo there, but didn t pet any animals. She is coming home in a week and a half. Do you think she ll be okay to wait till then to go to doctor? Could something still be present after rash goes away? Sorry for all the questions..I am feeling helpless as she is out of the country.
It is viral infection that your daughter has got. Give her tablet paracetamol for body ache. rashes will shed off by its own way after completion of incubation period. Don't worry for rashes. Avoid direct contact with her till rashes subsides since it is viral infection that may spread to others.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
