18 months ago I had a bowel obstruction with subsequent removal of 7 cm of gangrenous small bowel, due to adhesions from 40 years ago. I am 70 years of age, female and I've noticed a steady weight gain in the past month, going from 150 lbs to 159, as of today. I stay away from sugary drinks, no sugar in anything, eat sparsely, many times forgetting to eat at the regular time. I always have a breakfast, either oatmeal or a poached egg on toast. Fruits and veg are always eaten. Water is on hand all the time. I live in the tropics and work outdoors a lot. This is very frustrating and maybe you have an answer for me. Thanking you, Patricia
