About 2 months ago, I came down with a cold sore and some other infection of the lips that caused a thick golden crust to cover them. My doctors prescribed acyclovir and some antibiotics which did the trick. I was doing better about a month later and the scabs came off, but it s been over 2 months and I am still suffering from bright red lips. I m not sure why they are still bright red. I would just like my old lips back! They still peel on occasion, but they are still noticeable bright red.
