Suggest Treatment For Bruise And Pus On The Shin

My husband bumped his shin last week now his instep and ankle on both feet are bruising on side of injury other foot looks like varicose vein Also the bruise has now opened and is a bit pussy. He has had MRSA in the past and the fear is it could re occur from injury

may i know is your husband diabetic or any other medical illness? immediately after the injury what you did -any hot fomentation?usuaaly we advice cold fomentation.
if the pus has formed then it needs to be drained(small surgical procedure),along with injectable antibiotic like linzolid 600mg twice daily and amikacin 500mg twice daily keeping in mind the past medical history of MRSA.

Hello

I have studied your case

I will advise you to do ultrasound of tibia and you may need to investigate in form of complete blood count, ESR, CRP
There could be possibility of infection .

Clinically if there are no signs of infection or major illness then physiotherapy can be started.
So I will advise you to consult a specialist and do required investigation.
