Suggest Treatment For Bruise On Knee Cap While Having Sjogren S Syndrome
I have Sjögren s syndrome. My knees are one of the main problem areas. I ve noticed that when I start having knee problems flare up that my knee almost looks like there s a bruising underneath the skin. There is usually one main oval shaped bruise right where my knee cap would be. What is it and what does it mean?
It is unlikely be related to your sjogren syndrome. Most probably it is due to some minor trauma that resulted in contusion.
As of now apply icepacks for faster recovery. In most cases it will settle by itself. If the symptoms persist you can consult a physician and get evaluated. Possible causes like bleeding dysfunction must be ruled out.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
