Suggest Treatment For Bump On The Finger Joint

Hi,
I have a sort of bump on my finger joint, I think it appeared after I had a pimple, but I'm not sure. It is smooth and moderately stiff, but sometimes it gets dry to the point i can just pull the upper layer off without pain. It feels almost like a scar, and its 5mm across. I've had it for months now.
