Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Treatment For Bumps On Tongue, Swollen Tonsils, Fingers, Calves And Ankles
I have bumps on my tongue and tonsils and tonsils swollen slightly. Also swelling in my fingers and calves and ankles and feet. I had neck surgery last week and back surgery 2 weeks before that. They have me on all types of different meds. Is this a reaction or ulcers or hand foot and mouth, cancer, what?
Development of bumps on tongue and at various spaces after 2 surgeries and being on multiple medicines can be due to the following reasons: - Reaction to some medicine - Boils if there is septicaemia - Any other disease like rheumatoid arthritis or nodule forming disease that has erupted
I would advise you the following: - Rush to ER or your doctor to have a proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations - Have second opinion if required - Stop or reduce the medicines as advised by your doctors - Get diagnosed and treated as per the cause found
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
